41 Games: Epistory
Epistory is another slight game with a single neat gimmick. It's a typing RPG, meaning that you type out words as they appear above enemies in order to fire off attacks and defeat them. There are some additional flourishes: elemental attacks with different effects that need to be used strategically in order to survive the waves of enemies the game throws at you. If there's a problem with it, that's it: every combat takes the form of waves of enemies, with little variation.
The game has a cute papercraft aesthetic, and it smartly tracks your average words-per-minute and tunes the difficulty accordingly. The story is the kind of underbaked indie narrative that reaches for something moving/profound, but is never developed enough to earn either descriptor. But it's not really there enough to significantly mar the experience either.
